As in most cases the greater the risk, the greater the reward!.And it is based on that theory that East River Mail was established. Arlene Lofaro started her career as a switchboard operator at Ampex Letter Service. After many years of dedication and hard work, Arlene became Office Manager and held this position for 17 years until she decided to venture out on her own.  

Arlene went on to take the greatest risk of her life. She took out a loan and started her own business, East River Mail.

East River Mail is, to this day, one of the few female-owned direct mailing companies in New York City. Arlene has put in the same level of overtime and effort she did at Ampex; but the difference is at the end of the day, East River Mail is her reward.  

Over the years, East River Mail has become a dynamic, successful mailing house. The company staffs over twenty people and provides an extensive list of mailing related services. East River Mail handles every step of a mailing campaign for its customers, including graphic design and printing, to presorting and distribution.

Using the relationships Arlene has built over the years with industry leaders in mailing lists such as Dunn and Bradstreet, East River Mail can service any company, big or small, from financial institutions to insurance companies to political consultants.

Still to this day, Arlene continues to work hard, often way beyond 5:00 pm ensuring every marketing piece is processed efficiently and each campaign is distributed to surpass the expectations of their customers. East River Mail continues to pride itself on the work ethic of the founder, meeting every deadline and obligation for every project for every customer.
